About Caroline, King and Queen, & Essex Habitat for Humanity
Caroline, King & Queen, and Essex County Habitat for Humanity are an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit non-denominational Christian housing organization.
Caroline Habitat was formed in 1997 by residents to bring affordable housing to the area.
We believe decent shelter is a matter of conscience and action and we invite all people to work together to build houses for families in need of adequate, affordable houses.
By bringing together people of all races, backgrounds, and religions in this common cause, CCHFH hopes to foster the kinds of personal relationships among God’s people that will encourage mutual understanding and respect.
Our most challenging goal is locating building lots in Caroline County and raising money to cover escalating land costs and building materials.
With our help and the help of the community, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.

Caroline & Essex Habitat for Humanity is an Equal Opportunity Housing Agency, and an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Employer.

Open Door Policy
All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with our work. We accept people to help us regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or other distinctions that often divide people.
In short, Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds and also serves people in need of decent housing regardless of race or religion.
As a matter of policy, Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliated organizations do not proselytize. This means that Habitat will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must either adhere to or convert to a particular faith, or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.
